Emma Kennaway
Emma trained at The Ruskin School of Fine Art in Oxford. She goes to The Royal College of Art to do her master’s in fine arts and Humanities in September 2025.
She primarily forged her reputation in portraiture, and in 2003 won The Garrick/Milne competition in portraiture with her painting of Tim West CBE. It hangs permanently in The Garrick Club.
She also makes paintings and drawings of horses.
Warchild commissioned her to work in a Liberian Refugee Camp outside Accra where she recorded life around the camp.
She then worked in two professional boxing gyms in London, St Pancras ABC and Thomas Becket as she was looking for a vehicle to record speed and strength.
Recently she has completed a project with the Birmingham Royal Ballet as Artist in Residence.
She continues to paint portraits both human and equine.
